Have We Made a Decision?

November 6th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

It’s time for some self-realization and transparency. After watching this video a few more times, I realized that I truly have not decided to be successful. This may sound strange, but when you look at the video and start to understand what Will Smith means when he says,

“…we need to make a choice and decide what we will be and how we will do it…”

This concept makes an appearance in Think and Grow Rich. Most of us will say we want to be successful, “work our hardest” to become successful, and truly believe that we have made the conscience decision to become successful. Will Smith and Napoleon Hill are trying their hardest to tell us that,

“There is nothing, right or wrong, which belief, plus burning desire, cannot make real. These qualities are free to everyone.”

We have to make the conscience decision to do what needs to be done, period. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I spent a while today to look at all the time I’ve wasted in the past and the time I decide to waste on a daily basis. Yes, I’m hustling like crazy to reach my goals, but the burning desire that was once there is not as strong as it was. We’ve let ourselves become sidetracked by way too many “obstacles”, relationships that are a waste of time, people that don’t want you to succeed or have “more than they do”, and people who don’t believe in you.

“Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.” – Napoleon Hill

I thought I took my gloves off before, but now the relentless desire that I thought I had has taken my focus to a new level. This post was written with the risk of regurgitating the same information over and over. I felt compelled to truly express my revelation of the truth. As I was talking to others who have gifts and talents that they are not using to the fullest, I realized that this post was/is necessary.

A burning desire backed by faith knows no such words as impossible.

I’ve finally made the decision, have you? All comments, suggestions, and hate-mail can be left in the section below.
