Self Improvement Solutions – Trading Time for Money

December 3rd, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Most of us make the mistake of trading time for money. Time is our most valuable asset that can never be recovered. There aren’t any retry or reset buttons in real life. Spending long hours at work will often place a burden on our families. When we are employed, our employer uses us for leverage and we don’t have any leverage of our own. Trading time for money while employed always limits our income potential to the time we have to work and what our “oh so generous” employers will pay us.

The secret to breaking the “time for money” cycle is to come up with ideas and strategies to create passive income. Most people who earn a six and seven-figure salary have passive income that will earn them money in their sleep. Those who start down this path think it is impossible, but how many of you would benefit from receiving a 100-200-500 or $1000 extra each month?

“If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free. If our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed.” Edmund Burke

What’s worse is if you’re trading time for money as an employed person, you are the government’s largest source of tax revenue. Taxes are collected through payroll deduction.

It’s not too late to start building a passive income. Devote a portion of your time every week building passive income streams and stop trading your money for time before you permanently run out of time.

Make sure to check out the blog often. We will explore different forms of passive income in real life situations and develop more self improvement solutions. Theory will be left in the classroom. The only thing that truly matters is results.
