Skills to Pay the Bills?
Do you have any marketable skills? There are plenty of people out there who have made mistakes in their life. Some mistakes such as spending time in jail, not finishing high school or college, etc. These same people may have problems finding jobs and feel like there is no one out there that will hire them. When they find a job, they usually don’t keep it since it will never allow them to achieve the success they desire in life. Sometimes we need to sit back and ask ourselves:
Why should anyone hire me? Is there anything I can do that people are willing to pay big money for?
If we continue to look for terrible opportunities, we will continue to receive terrible opportunities.
“A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.” Sir Francis Bacon
You may think that you don’t have any “skills to pay the bills”, but there is one skill(other than physical labor) that 99.9% of us have been given since birth. This same skill can make you a millionaire.
So what is this ability? Sales! Before you hit your back button or turn your computer off in disgust, let’s take a deeper look at this. You have been selling yourself and what you have to offer since you were a child. Do you remember asking your parents for that shiny new toy you wanted? Many of us would go through great lengths to close the deal. When you are looking for someone to spend the rest of your life with, you are selling yourself and what you have to offer to another person that may or may not deserve this gift.
We aren’t talking about knocking on random doors to sell an object to unqualified buyers or making cold calls to people who have no desire to buy your product. Sales comes in many shapes and sizes. You can set up your own website and sell products in your sleep without ever talking to or seeing another human. Business is built around selling a product or service so enhancing your skills in this arena will always be in demand.
Multilevel Marketing has been an avenue thousands of people have used to generated tons of money. The low cost of entry and great sales training is always a plus. You have to treat MLM like a business. There are plenty of people who have tried to get into network marketing but have failed because they haven’t put in the time to make it work, didn’t truly believe in what they were selling, or attempted to use the same technique of asking your unqualified friends and family (who probably don’t want to see you succeed) to join their team. There are tons of people online looking for something to get them over the hump.
No matter what your current circumstances are in life, think about this:
“When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters – one represents danger, and the other represents opportunity.” Saul David Alinsky
